We chose Christopher Developments to build our dream home for several reasons. We respected the recommendation of our designer, we were impressed with the quality of his previous builds, two of which we had the opportunity to visit, and most importantly, we were impressed with Chris as a person of integrity, with exacting standards, and an eye for detail.

Chris clearly takes great pride in his work, and inspires (and requires) the sub-contracted trades to do the same. We’re absolutely thrilled with our new home, and after occupying it for a year now, we can honestly say the we love it more and more as time passes. I genuinely enjoy walking around our home, both inside and out, and admiring the quality of the carpentry, stone masonry, millwork, and so on. Chris has assembled a fine group of suppliers and tradespeople and we have high praise for their work.

Chris also has an excellent eye for colour and design, and contributed numerous important design details during our build, all of which were consistent with the original design concept, and all of which added positively to the ultimate aesthetic.

We felt that we were kept well informed regarding budget issues by both Chris and Joan during our build. It inevitably costs more to build than you think it’s going to; after all, the cost of materials and labour have risen considerably over the past few years. Having said that, with Joan’s detailed and meticulous financial reporting and billing every two weeks, there are really no surprises.

To the prospective customer, it will also be useful for you to know that Chris will be with you after occupancy for as long as it takes to promptly address and rectify any deficiencies or problems that arise after you move in. There won’t be many, and they won’t be particularly serious, but it’s nice to know that they will be dealt with to your satisfaction, and not at your expense.

We highly recommend Christopher Developments if you’re planning to build a custom home. You will not be disappointed in your relationship with Chris Walker, who is the consummate professional, and odds are that you will be as pleased with your new home as we are!
