Reviews mention strong communication from sales and project teams, with several buyers praising build quality and attention to detail. Some homeowners cite responsiveness when issues arise, while others report lingering punch-list or warranty concerns. Overall sentiment trends positive, with customer service and customization frequently noted.

It is not often that one leaves the equivalent of a Google review in a year end summary Christmas card. But my wife and I felt strongly enough about the great support we received from Fischer-Frichtel, for addressing our significant homeowners issues, that we did just that.
The background is that we moved into a Fischer-Frichtel 6-year-old villa in late July, 2025. While the villa is relatively small, one of the big selling points was a large, beautifully finished basement. This was an important item for our extended large family gatherings. How dismayed we were to find out that our new basement was unusable due to an outside fissure crack in the wall leading down to our basement. This foundation issue had caused significant water damage and ensuing mold, which pervaded a basement interior wall and bathroom.
Checking the Fischer-Frichtel homeowners warranty, I found that their 10-year warranty was transferable to new owners and so I called the Fischer-Frichtel warranty department. Fisher-Frichtel warranty manager, Cassie Dreher, responded promptly with a site review of the damage. There was no BS and no attempt to pass the buck. Instead, Cassie quickly assembled an A-team of construction tradesmen & technicians from their staff, led by Greg Braun, and vendor partners including the following:
• River City Drywall
• Quality Waterproofing
• Henges Interiors
• J Bathe Electric
All of the tradesmen and technicians who worked on our project were not only expert Craftsmen but also very pleasant to deal with. We also got great assistance on several related issues in our basement from MoldBusters-STL, led by Jim Romans.
Having been involved in professional sales for 43 years, I know firsthand that promises b4 the sale are easy to make. But it is the after-sale support that separates the elite companies from the wannabes. And it is here that Fischer-Frichtel passes with flying colors!

Where do I begin. 1st time reviewer. Bought our villa about 3.5 to 4 years ago. Mostly a well built home, that's been enjoyable. After my little battle today, kind of broke the camels back. To start with we still have several items on our 11th month list still not yet completed. 1) Broken / not connected drain line from downspout, in a rain floods out our mulch bed. 2) Typically the foundations are not painted in our subdivision, but because someone's mess up they had to fill in window pockets, so in our contract it was supposed to be painted. I did talk to the Subcontractor and they said wouldn't / couldn't paint it due black sealer on. I told them that I work for a painting company & to power wash it & paint with a Elastomeric, that I will take responsibility from there....still not done.
The last item, that has been recent is what is causing me to post this. A month or so ago during high winds, we had 10 or so roof cap shingles come off. We called F & F and they said Allen Roofing had done our roof (at that time I thought great a good company). We called & was put on list to come inspect, finally a month later came & sent estimate the next day!! Yes a estimate for what should be warranty work. I called to discuss with them & said because we were a existing customer would drop price by $100. Really????
Many years ago, I worked for a company that did work for F & F. I don't think John would be happy. Bottom line is that the New generation of F & F needs to get better control of their subcontractors.
Thanks for letting me vent, even though won't help. Just putting a bug in F&F and new home buyers ears. My 2nd review will be going to Allen Roofing.

This is what their front porches look like after just a little over a year in my home. I bought in November 2020 and in Feb. 2022 my front porch cracked after some salt was put on it. I was told by Fischer that,

“A report has been provided to Fischer & Frichtel containing contact information for all the villa owners that submitted reports of concrete damage to my email address.

Fischer & Frichtel informed me that any builder related warranty claims are independently evaluated and addressed with the homeowner directly. They will use the information that I have provided them along with the reports that were made directly to their office to contact afflicted homeowners and work on addressing the issues.”

No one ever reached out to me (it was always me starting the conversation with them) and I have been going back and forth with them. It’s now May 2024. In my emails, they tried to say they weren’t responsible after saying they’d fix it. Tried blaming me for “not washing the stuff off” even though it was below freezing for a week when this occurred and put there by HOA/lawn care/snow removal contractor they had. I’ve been talked down too and I finally had enough of going in circles. I know people who do concrete work and they said that this shouldn’t have even happened b/c of some deicing salt/chemicals after barely a year. This company does not stand by what they say or their work. They have left me with no choice at this point but to leave a bad review.

Best home builder in the St. Louis area, plain and simple. The build quality won’t be beaten. Greg was incredible throughout the entire sales process and Tim F the project manager is a class act. Thank you for our beautiful home!

Laura, Kevin, and Matt brought our dream house vision to the next level! We did due diligence on all of the local builders and ultimately chose them because of their focus on quality, amazing personalities, differentiated degree of customization , and excellent responsiveness. The outcome was amazing! Best builder if you’re in the upper mid level price point and value a lot of customization and attention to detail.
