My wife and I are the second owners of a home Tourmaline built in Point Loma. While we sat in our family room one rainy Saturday morning, we noticed that water started dripping through the ceiling. Above this ceiling is our deck outside of our Master Bedroom. The deck's flooring outside had developed some cracks and clearly the water proofing had failed. We reached out to Tourmaline since the home was a little over 5 years old and left a Voicemail that Saturday afternoon. That very same day the owner of Tourmaline returned our call and offered to meet us at our home the following Monday to inspect the damage.A few days later the Owner notified us that they would coordinate a date to handle ALL of the repairs and cost since we were still under Tourmaline's Warranty! A week later workers came to demo, repair and reconstruct the deck surface and also repair/paint the ceiling inside as well. The process took 6 business days, but all of Tourmaline's workers were professional, courteous and punctual. The deck and the ceiling are like new now. We felt very fortunate that our home was built by a company with such integrity and a high level of conviction behind their craftsmanship.I would 100% recommend Tourmaline for anyone considering them for their next home build. My scenario is clearly a testament to their commitment to excellence!
We purchased a home that had been completely rebuilt by Tourmaline. We have lived in the home for 4 years now. They did an outstanding job with the house! During our inspection, the inspector commented on how Tourmaline didn't just follow the building codes and they actually went beyond that. They are straight-forward and easy to work with. We won't leave our home anytime soon, but we would hesitate to work with them again in the future.
