We purchased a newly built home from Mason Martin Homes earlier this year, and our experience has been great so far. While we’ve noticed a few minor details that have required attention, we understand that such adjustments are part of the process. Ashley and Jim have provided amazing customer support, ensuring that every concern is addressed quickly and efficiently. They have been wonderful to speak to. Hugh was also incredibly helpful throughout the entire purchasing process. Additionally, every contractor that has had to come by has been incredibly nice and understanding, and they always take the time to explain things. Our home is beautiful, and we are very relieved to have purchased from a builder that stands by their work.
Review update to Mason Martin’s reply**As stated, this is not an issue of high humidity due to a new build. We had excessive humidity due to our HRV being installed wrongly which you nor the company (Aries Airflow Heating & Air Conditioning) can take responsibility for. New Home Warranty was contacted and the issue was resolved no thanks to Mason Martin. It is disappointing that Mason Martin will not admit it should not have happened in the first place. There is no excuse for installing a HRV unit incorrectly. As the review states, poor work and contractors who consistently make mistakes. As a first time home buyer, I wish I would have went anywhere else. As a company that claims to provide expertise and exceed their customer’s expectations (straight from their website) my experience has been the opposite. Their contractors made careless mistakes during the build of the home we purchased that were never caught until issues started occurring. The first issue (a pipe not glued properly) was resolved except for the drywall contractor ghosting us so our spare bathroom was out of use for almost 3 months. They could not provide another contractor to finish the job and this became extremely frustrating after taking time off work for this contractor to not show up. When a second issue occurred not only was I completely dismissed, Ashley lied that I forced their handyman to leave before he finished his inspection. This is not the case, he stood there and offered to fix the “weather stripping” when there was very obviously excessively high humidity levels in the home. What I initially thought was a faulty front door turned out to be a HRV unit hooked up wrong and had been for almost two years causing high levels of humidity. I had to pay out of pocket ($500) for someone to come in and find this issue as I started to become concerned there was something more serious going on. Being brushed off that bubbling on the door frames is expected during a deep freeze (it is not when your home has normal humidity levels) made this experience even more unpleasant. On top of that we also were unhappy with smaller things, the biggest thing being the flooring. The bathroom had a gap by the shower and there was a hump in the dining room. We did contact the flooring place and unfortunately felt a lack of service there as well and were disappointed at the installing of the flooring. These are not cheap homes so to feel like ours was built cheaply is disappointing.

From the initial design phase, to receiving the final product, we were extremely happy. Our Sales Consultant, Tanyalie Charles, was very knowledgeable and she helped us with all our questions and concerns throughout the build.
