I've had the opportunity to see Westlake Development Group's homes as both a photographer and a real estate agent. Without reservation, I can say Gerald Rowlett and his team build some of the finest homes in the NW. The marriage of form, function, and aesthetics is consistently of the highest caliber, and their work has been featured in the NY Times and other national and international publications. One home in particular stands out, which won a national architectural design award. Spanning almost 14,000 square feet, it was built nearly 15 years ago, and yet when my colleague and I sold it, it still almost looked brand new. The sliding glass panels could be moved with the touch of a finger, a testament to not only the quality of materials, but also the meticulous construction process. One point of emphasis I've seen in his work is the ability to maximize any available view. Colorful sunsets and sunrises have undoubtedly provided homeowners with many fond memories. Gerald Rowlett and the Westlake team have been amazing throughout the entire process: from selecting a location to designing the home, building it, and resolving issues after we moved in. Gerald kept the project moving forward and finished on time. His attention to detail was impressive and we ended up with top quality results. The only area for improvement was budgeting, our project went over budget and we didn’t have visibility into this until after construction was well underway. Building a completely unique and custom home, we encountered several unforeseen issues. Gerald and the Westlake team were quick to help us resolve or correct all of these issues. We are truly enjoying our new home. If we have the opportunity to build another house, we would be delighted to work with Westlake Development Group again.
