This was my second time building a custom home but the experience was truly unmatched. Our project manager (Danny) and designer (Bri) were an absolute dream team! They worked seamlessly together to beautifully and thoughtfully bring the plans that MGM designed for us to life. From start to finish, the process was as fun and stress-free as building a house could possibly be. My finished home is one-of-a-kind and I hope to have the pleasure of working with them again on future projects.
I moved into my brand new MGM custom built home 3 months ago and it is spectacular! The whole process, from the first site visit with Taylor (heck, even the first phone call), to the design with a great architect, Matt, to the actual build with an amazing project manager, a different Matt, was seamless. Matt’s knowledge, communication skills and patience are superb!! This is the 4th house I have built and it was by far the best experience. The contract was clear and concise, the software they use for tracking approvals and changes is very user friendly, every MGM person I encountered onsite was friendly and professional, the independent contractors and suppliers they recommended were all wonderful (and so many of them told me how lucky I was to have MGM building my house)! I would not hesitate to use MGM again! (I will add photos when my landscaping is complete!)
We just completed our custom home with MGM Builders, and couldn’t be happier. Being in the construction industry myself, I was concerned we would not find a builder and team that would meet all of our goals- but MGM did just that. I was familiar with MGM as they completed my parents home 30 years ago (which they still live in and love), and they have stayed true to their family-own roots. I was most impressed with there design-build services, level of experience, and overall project team- they far exceeded all other builders in the area that we “interviewed”.We initially met with Taylor and instantly connected with his level of professionalism and knowledge of residential construction. We worked hand in hand with Matt and Anne (even visiting Anne & Michael’s home) to gain inspiration and as we went through the design process. They were extremely patient as we went through design, and their key design recommendations are what truly makes our home feel custom.Danny was our PM and he was always available and ready to jump on anything we brought to him. He has a great calming personality and was able to pivot to some of the challenges that come with construction. Danny successfully completed our home on time and within budget.Overall, I would highly recommend the MGM team and all of their subcontractors used onsite. They are a top-tier builder in Southern Maine. We look forward to working with them on our Phase II dream barn!
MGM designed and built my new home that was completed in January of 2025. I can't recommend MGM more strongly. MGM was a dream to work with. They provided outstanding service and attention to detail. They accurately scoped out my project for both timeline and pricing. There were no changes, no surprises, other than what I requested and they handled those with ease and without issues.MGM's communication was fantastic; I lived 200 miles away and they kept me apprised of the progress throughout the build. We can't say enough positive things about our entire experience working with MGM Builders, who built our home in 2022. As business owners, my wife and I understand the absolute need for crystal clear communication during a project as complex as a custom home build. Working with Taylor Manning as our PM was a perfect fit in every aspect of build. He was attentive, responsive, and executed on every promise and timeline agreed upon. From a design perspective, we also couldn't have ask for a more positive experience working with their Interior Designer, Matt Nollette. From the onset, Matt understood our vision and designed us an interior and exterior that checked all of our boxes. All of his ideas and suggestions were fresh and on point. Both Taylor and Matt were always accessible, and worked in a very prompt and efficient manner. We equally had a very positive experience with all the crew and Subs, as well as MGM's office staff. We are now a year living in our house and couldn't be happier.
