This review is long past due. Sorry it took so long. Working with Anne and Mario was great and the "trades" they selected for our project (framers, roofers, drywall, electrical, plumbing, ect, ect)were fantastic. We would highly recommend Northwood H&C to anybody who is considering to have a custom home or custom cottage built !!! Tom & Nancy Millen
Annie and Mario are an incredible team. I've used them for two projects. They are professional, courteous, organized, and friendly. Without them, these projects would not have been as successful as they were. I don't recommend anyone else. Nothing to complain about, honestly!! What a stress saver ??

Northwood Homes, what a great company. We began the process of building our home last year. Site clearing complete, permits pulled and floor plan selected, our vision was to do as much of this as we could ourselves. We opted due to timing constraints and lack of experience to consider a firm to assist in building our house. We met with Mario over the winter and were very impressed with his depth and breadth of work, very comforting. A portfolio as deep as an ocean and experience that quite frankly we hadn't found anywhere else. Mario was able to quickly walk us through the building process and was very clear about what to expect. Mario was able to show us samples of work and materials and we did ask Mario to provide us a quote. Mario has a select group of trades with which he works which provides meaningful assurance of the end result. The quote Mario provided was right-on, very clear and detailed, no surprise with someone of his experience. What I didn't account for was how difficult it would be to ultimately choose a partner in this project. I did not pick Mario and Northwood Homes but that is in no way a reflection of their product, service or factors within their control. What I realized, when dealing with firms and individuals that operate at this very high level they will all give you what you're looking for. I ultimately chose another firm admittedly with less experience and a higher quote but for the simple reason that the firm is a husband and wife team(he builds/she designs) who recently embarked on a building project that was near identical to ours. We placed a high value on the integration of design and build and the tangible aspect of watching their house be built. These were factors that were outside Northwood/Mario's control. That said, I would not hesitate for one second to use this firm. A top notch firm who's transparency and experience will fill you with confidence. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed.
