We had the privilege of building our home with James Craig Builders. From the beginning it was a wonderful process. Sometimes you hear from others that building is a nightmare full of unexpected twists and turns. That is the farthest from our building experience. From the beginning, the team was hands on. We found our lot and Craig, Dave and Tyler came out to walk the land with us and gave us their honest opinion. We so appreciated their honesty throughout the whole process, there were no surprises!Dave, Tyler and Craig took care of EVERYTHING. Communication was top notch and we always knew where we were in relation to our budget.Brenda was wonderful to work with and she helped the selection process go smoothly. She helped me stay within my budget and if I went out of allotment, I was well aware.All of the companies we worked with were fantastic- custom cabinets, flooring, countertops, mirrors, plumbing, lighting- every single subcontractor was top notch.We are so thankful we were able to build with JCB. We were thankful to be part of the process with such wonderful people!

We love her experience, building a home with James Craig. Craig and Tyler were patient with us through property changes and the pandemic.It was clear early on that James Craig is more interested in details and quality than the number of homes they build. We spoke to several very happy home owners before building who all were pleased with their experience and their homes.Dave, our GC gave us weekly progress updates. He noticed small details and was particular about them being perfect.Brenda, their Interior Designer, set up and attended every appointment for selections like plumbing, hardware, fixtures, etc. she was very helpful and reassuring my selections in addition to making sure we understood our allowances. Having her they’re allowed us to do the fun stuff while making sure the details were being noted.It’s also apparent that they are very particular about who they select as contractors to use on the homes they build. I talked with one contractor who told me that working with James Craig is different. When I asked him why, he told me “with other builders. We don’t talk about the stuff until there’s a mistake or something went wrong.” Another contractor told me that James craig has a very specific way of building their homes. While that specific way, might make things a little more difficult for the contractor it’s absolutely to ensure the quality of the product for the benefit of a homeowner. I appreciated that the biggest concern was quality over rushing our home or skipping steps.I can’t say enough about our experience and as happy as I am that we are in our home, I’m sad it’s over.
It has been approximately three years since we selected James Craig Builders to build our new home. The building process went smoothly, approximately 10 month, on time and budget, and with no surprises. The few change orders we requested were honored and the “help” along the way from all the team members was great. As is standard for JCB homes, a one year review after closing is conducted and any issues are addressed. We mentioned a few minor things and they were corrected in a timely manor.After three years , we are very satisfied with our JC home. We do not hesitate to recommend JCB to friends and family who are considering building a new home.
