I have always wanted a Richard Harp Home, and when it was time for us to build our dream home, Richard Harp was our first call. Our dream was a very difficult build, and from conception to completion, Richard, JD and their team of craftsmen led the way each and every day. Richard's construction experience and knowledge are exceptional. Typically the new wears off of purchases, but we truly love our home more and more each day. Richard Harp and his team were a pleasure to work with. My husband and I wanted to be involved in every step of the process of building our forever home. Richard and JD both were open and available for our ideas. Also, with my husband being in finance he wanted to see everything on paper. Richard was willing to sit down with us and go over every number. When it was all said and done, we finished 7% over budget, but admittedly the overages were self-inflicted on our part due to add-ons and upgrades. To Richard’s credit, without his relentless diligence in seeking out competitive pricing for materials and labor, always keeping a wary eye out to not sacrifice quality with cost, that number would’ve been considerably higher! We would recommend Richard Harp to anyone!
My husband and I have worked with Richard for 20 years. He built our home 20 years ago, added a second story to our home 10 years ago and remodeled our kitchen last year. We trust Richard will complete the project correctly. He always brings insight and ideas to help guide the project.
Had extensive, difficult addition. Richard was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Gave us options though out the project with pros and cons for each. The only reason we were over budget was because I kept adding things: would have been slightly under budget otherwise. The quality of his work was excellent. If he did not approve of his subcontractor's work, it was re-done at no extra cost to me.This is the second project Richard has done for us. The first was in 2008 which was a down- to-the-drywalls, move-out for 3 months project. Same experience as this addition. And would use him again if we have any more renovations.
Coming from a first time home builder, Richard Harp made the process easier and more fun than we expected. He is extremely detailed, which allowed us to always know where we stood on the budget-to-actual expense. We are most proud of the end product. We consider our home to be superb quality, energy efficient, and a layout to meet our exact family needs. It is our dream home.
