We purchased our house 3 years ago... we still have unresolved, outstanding issues with the house (too many to list). Project management throughout the home building service was non existant. After service with Gerik is also non existant! We have sent many emails, online service request, and left voice messages, once every couple months for the past 3 years. And NO RESPONSE and no action?! We are left no choice but to take legal action for them to respond!
Service was nice and friendly at first, but honestly they were highly disorganized and understaffed. Sent us the implementation plan AFTER concrete was poured, we were rushed to sign immediately with not even an explanation on the plan, felt tricked into signing because we had a servitude along half of our lot, we were unaware of. Had we known, we would have chosen a different lot. 15% management fees are charged for each sub contractor, but I can't say there was any management during the process. We drive out to see each contractor, oversaw, and corrected all (several and too many) errors. Currently we have warranty and safety items/ fire hazard that to this day haven't been addressed, including (attached picture) water in our dryer vents, discovered when trying to finish our basement. The people Gerik had done the work, squeezed the vent between the floor joist and foundation, damaging the aluminum ducting, and causing condensation to build up in the vents. We have to drain the water from the pipes regularly (through a small hole in the pipe that we cover with scotch tape!) Electrical breaker panel was also in terrible shape (eg. 20 amp circuit, was connected to 15amp breaker; garage door was labeled for fridge breaker) in the end we have no option but to sort that one ourselves - safety. Avoid Gerik, I had a much better service with another builder.

We heard lots of good words about Gerik before we purchased our house in Chelsea, but we've experienced the opposite after we moved in: the sanding of the exterior walls of basement was not done; the deck was poorly installed; shower head was not installed properly which caused water damage to the ceiling; water leakage from the shower base (fixed once, but did not work, still leaking); noises from the air conditioner (sent request last summer, still no follow-up, not fixed), etc.

And now, we just found new issues, there're ice at the lower corners of the windows in the living and dinning areas; some cold air are felt from the windows in the master bedroom and one guest bedroom. Just sent a Service request, let's see how long our problem can be handled.

We had great experience with the sales person Kim, but very disappointed about the quality of the works and the after sales service.

Gerik is the worst construction company out there. We purchased a house from them and they made several mistakes and misinformation was giving to us numerous times. Due to covid situation and delays house was delayed a few times. After we finished all planning and sent it off they come back to us a year later telling us there's an error in the basement and it will cost us lots of money to put. As home owners we have every right to ask questions and make sure it's all legal. Gerik refused to acknowledge their unprofessional actions towards us and ignored our questions and refused to build our home. We have been waiting over a year and working on the plan to make sure we build our home the way we want. They took away our home, they disrespected us in the meeting, treating us like we are at fault. They couldn't care about a family who sold everything and all their savings to put towards this home. All they saw was how they will gain extra money buy not building our home and selling it to someone else. They even said it themselves "we sell to make money" we did everything right. I have never seen a ruthless and cowardly act from a company like GERIK. How can you sleep at night knowing you dod this to a family who really needed a home. The people we dealt with are unprofessional, please DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND NOT ACTUALLY SELLING A HOME TO PEOPLE. GOD KNOWS WHO ELSE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TOO. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN THROUGH THIS, ITS TIME TO TELL QUEBEC WHO GERIK REALLY IS. I am sickened by their actions and I will not stop until everyone knows what you are and what you have done.

We have had nothing but issues with our condo. Our nieghbour have also had the same issues. Our shower was not properly installed, our doors have shifted and are stuck. Many nieghbours have had flat tires due to construction as well as our car. The company takes no responsibility of anything.

If you had asked me last year I would have given 4 or 5 stars, but not now. In the beginning, the sales service from Kim was excellent and everything was great until we took possession. Our final walk though found a few details that were wrong and in the end we moved into our house with 80% of the issues not resolved.. 2 days after we moved in we had contractors in our house to fix the walk-in closet (something they new was built wrong 2 months before)

After sales service is terrible. We have issues with our deck and ceramic tile. We have been waiting 1.5 years from when we first reported the ceramic issue and it still isn't resolved. The flooring company is also no help.. they keep sending emails that Gerik is busy building new houses so my issue has to wait.... 3 emails now to tell us they can't schedule an install to fix our issue. We are not the only one on our street that is frustrated
