After years of patience, documentation, and professionalism, I’ve been left with no other option but to post this publicly in hopes of saving someone else thousands of dollars. I love my home — truly. It’s beautiful, and I’ve taken great pride in maintaining it. I understand that when you build a new home, things happen. No construction is perfect, and during COVID I gave Sandlin Homes grace when delays occurred.We moved in March 2020, and because of COVID, repairs and warranty work didn’t begin until March 2021. That was understandable at the time. What’s not acceptable is that from day one, both erosion control and driveway concrete patchwork were listed on my repair requests and repeatedly confirmed as warranty-covered items if they failed. They did fail — and Sandlin never followed through with a permanent fix.Here’s the timeline of communication and documentation:• March 2021: Formal request submitted to complete delayed warranty work.• August 9, 2021: Initial repair list resubmitted (erosion and driveway patch failure included).• August 24, 2021: Reported continued erosion and chipping concrete — no response.• September 20–24, 2021: Multiple follow-ups; same inadequate patch repair repeated.• June–July 2022: Reported new cracks and lifting concrete — still no resolution.• August–September 2022: Escalated directly to leadership — acknowledged but ignored again.For those saying you’ve lived here for years with no problems — please understand, I’ve reached out every single year since purchase, except this last year when I finally stopped because nothing changed.Now, the driveway repairs are not just chipped away but completely lifted and expose rebar, and the erosion continues to worsen, exactly as I warned it would.Sandlin Homes builds beautiful houses — but a builder’s true quality is measured by their integrity after closing. The lack of accountability and follow-through turned what should have been a wonderful experience into an ongoing source of frustration and disappointment.I have pictures from day one to today to show the problem.

We loved our first Sandlin home so much, when we were ready to build larger we went directly to them for our next home as well. Their attention to detail is amazing and we get compliments from everyone on the beauty and quality of our home! I've read other reviews and I'll be honest that we had a short punch list after closing, and every single issue was addressed efficiently and quickly. Before the one year warranty ended we had a home inspection completed for peace of mind and the inspector complimented the craftsmanship of our home. There were literally three minor things he could come up with that were again addressed without question. I am a 'real' homebuilder that has no affiliation to Sandlin, I am just extremely happy with the process and product and would use them again if we decide to build.
