Extremely Disruptive and Irresponsible BuilderWhile we are not direct customers of Mark Adler Homes, we live directly behind one of their builds—and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since construction began, the builder has elevated the grade of the new home well above ours, resulting in severe runoff issues every time it rains. We alerted them back in April and have been dealing with this for 5 months.Water now pours into our yard, causing ongoing flooding, standing water, and significant damage to our grass, mulch, and landscaping. We have large areas of dead grass that are impassable, and our ditch has essentially become a stagnant retention pond due to a culvert they added to divert their runoff—right onto our property. The dogs cannot even pass through this area.We’ve reached out multiple times and have been met with nothing but lip service. We had to buy a pump to keep the water from reaching up to our driveway. He has offered no solutions or assistance in cleaning up this mess. There is no accountability, and no respect for the impact their construction has had on neighboring homeowners. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing to deal with a builder so unresponsive and inconsiderate.If you're considering building near existing homes, or are a nearby neighbor, be warned—Mark Adler Homes has proven to be one of the worst neighbors we've encountered.
