They lied! We started to hear dripping sound coming out from the wall when we turn on the furnace. Other house they built have the exact same problem( read other reviews) but when I call instead of telling me what is wrong they asked for money just for people to go down and look at it. Which I believe they will state it as "normal" and will do nothing about it.
Monument home builders has been great. I bought a house from them a year ago and they have been super good at answering request. I recently had the help of one of their guys Miguel Fonseca come in and patch up little things in my house and answer some questions of mine. I am excited to continue working with them!
We built a home with them in harmony valley. Worst experience ever. We have been lied to over and over, the house was a mess when we moved in, hardware color was wrong, paint on the floors and in the sink, leaking sinks, broken fence, holes that were never patched. I could go on and on. I wasn’t going to write a bad review cause I was giving them the chance to make it right, but it’s been months and I’m still getting the run around.
Definitely a "buyer beware"I bought a brand new build in harmony valley from them 8/2024. Multiple pipes have leaked, likely from use of cheap plastic materials rather than brass. mildew/mold formed in a 6 month old house as a result. My fridge was attached to the sprinklers when i moved in, so we had to knock out drywall to install a water line to the fridge, and we are still trying to match the paint in late April. For their part, they were responsive to the water leaks and placement of the correct water line to the fridge. Cant say the same about much else, communication is very poor. Theres not much attention to detail. None of my cabinets really line up, and one of them is an incorrect size. Exposed plywood by the tubs with no grout. HVAC makes a continuous dripping sound they cannot figure out, and have deemed "normal,"I probably got bad luck and got one of / the worst house they ever built, but what if I didn't? What if you're about to buy it? Recommend a thorough inspection. Check BBB.
I bought a house from them a couple months ago and there are quite a few things wrong with it. First the roofers they used left tools on my roof. You can see the handle sticking out of my gutter where it’s lucky the gutter even caught it and not someone’s head. Then my gutter fell down damaging the lower gutter and they say damage from “storms” isn’t covered. Well when you looks it’s because whoever installed it never attached it at the top with anything, it was just dry fit. And make sure you run your sprinklers because apparently those aren’t covered even though they will tell you they are for the first time turning them on. They don’t believe in soundproofing either because I can hear my neighbors phone going off in the morning and there is also no soundproofing from the garage into the house. It sounds like people are working with the door open. I would expect these things from a used house, not a brand new one but I guess no one takes pride in their work any more.
