We engaged Sea Island Builders to raise, expand, and renovate our home on Sullivans Island. The home was originally built in 1890 and thus presented multiple issues regarding structural integrity, integration of the old and the new, and aesthetics. Three years after completion of the project, we can say without reservation that Sea Island performed in an outstanding manner in all respects. It coordinated seamlessly with the architect and engineer, curated and sequenced the necessary trades and subcontractors, and provided daily overall supervision. Perhaps most importantly, we found the people at Sea Island to be uniformly professional, experienced, and honest—they remain our friends to this day. While no renovation project is without unexpected issues, we worked through them and would not hesitate to engage Sea Island again.
