2nd Update: It has now been brought to my attention that technically it is the holding company of McKinley Masters that owns the home where my children are living in and being exposed to toxic levels of radon gas. So for legal reasons I am correcting this technicality now. The rental home is managed by Jean, employee of McKinley Masters. But McKinley Masters may still be held responsible and should not shamefully be hiding behind their corporate veil while denying liability or responsibility for potential harm to tenants.I have now received two cease and desist letters from Carscallen, lawyers for McKinley Masters, threatening legal action against me for loss of their income/profits as a result of this google review. Threats to sue me if I don't remove my review.I will not consider removing my review until I have received acceptable proof that the Radon gas levels have been remediated in the home where my children are unfortunately being exposed to on a daily basis. Every day that passes my children are exposed, causing permanent and irreversible damage to their DNA, setting them up for lung cancer in the future. It is truly despicable that this company chooses to spend money on lawyers to threaten and bully a mother to remove my review, instead of simply remediating the Radon to protect the lives of their tenants in their rental home. It only takes a day or so to remediate, and likely 2 - 3 thousand dollars to complete. Surely a large builder like this can manage to hire a local remediation company and have the remediation completed promptly.My children have been living in the home since September 2025. This has gone on far too long. It is URGENT. Holding company - PLEASE complete the remediation NOW, bring the toxic levels of Radon down to a safe level, and then may I agree to remove this review.1st Update: I received a horribly rude call from Jean from McKinley Masters this morning, waking me up before 7:30am. She was screaming at me, attempting to belittle and intimidate me. I explained that I am a concerned mother and because of the high Radon levels in their build that McKinley Masters holds and manage as rentals, my children are being exposed to toxic radon gas. She screamed that she didn't care, screamed out a few choice words, and hung up on me. I have messaged their office again asking someone more professional to please contact me with what they are proposing for the Radon remediation. My children have been exposed in the rental since September and I am concerned for their health and safety.Initital review: Hello, the Brownstones that your company built in Bowness next door to your office tested very high for Radon gas. Since McKinley Masters holds them as rental properties under the company, and my children are living there among other tenants, I hope that McKinley did the responsible thing by installing the proper required remediation systems. I will be reaching out to see if I can obtain the current Radon reading from your office, and proof that remediation systems have been installed. Thank you.

McKinley Masters are the highest quality home builders in the Calgary area. I speak from experience. They built our home in Bearspaw just outside Calgary. Their work was Award Winning. Subsequently, they built the most beautiful indoor pool addition to our home. A few years later we undertook a complete renovation and expansion and they did all of the work associated with that two year project. I trust them and would highly recommend them if you are looking for the best home builder and project manager.
