I cannot say enough about Josh and the whole team at Embark Homes. My wife and I had a great deal of anxiety about doing a major renovation on our condo, we knew so many friends with so many horror stories about dishonest and unprofessional contractors, who did terrible work. Our anxiety quickly evaporated upon meeting with and seeing how Josh and JC worked. From day one, they were ultra professional, incredibly organized and responsible. They drew up a schedule which they kept to; stayed on budget and were completely transparent in every transaction. Their communication skills were timely and concise. This was a major renovation from floor to ceiling and it went as smooth as anyone could hope for. When there were issues, Josh handled them as if he was working on his own house. The amazing attention to detail, made our reno quite perfect in every way. Five stars does not do justice to the work performed by Embark on this project!

We worked with Embark Homes over a 7 month period to completely renovate our dream home and we could not recommend this company more highly. It's hard to write a review that expresses just how wonderful our experience was. The communication was excellent, clear, and timely. We got regular updates and were involved quickly when any problems or changes occurred. We initially had some set backs on timeline that were not in Embark's control (permits during COVID, etc.) but Embark's timeline estimates were accurate and they worked hard to finish our project within a fairly short timeline for the extent of work. We always felt their urgency in pushing our project toward the finish line. We felt Embark understood us as clients and what our priorities were, which made both budget and design discussions easier. Often, they would present us with a few quotes and could guide us through them so we felt we were getting the best price and quality balance. I felt they negotiated pricing very well and their initial budget was much more cost effective than competing companies we spoke with. We did increase the budget over the project, but this was mostly due to us adding scope to the project since we realized how excellent Embark was and no longer wanted to do anything without them. There were only a few other small, unplanned amendments to the budget that I felt were entirely reasonable and to be expected in such a large project (and which Embark did warn us should be expected so in a sense this was "planned" for in the budgeting meetings). Embark checked in regularly to make sure we knew where we were financially and would always update us immediately when changes occurred. Josh, our project manager, was simply incredible. He was so attentive to detail and every time we noticed something that was damaged or incorrect he would already have noticed and had a solution in place. Josh is so capable and constantly impressed us. The most surprising part of the process was that it was almost never stressful, and we owe that to Josh. He worked almost too hard and cared for our home as if it was his own. We had such trust in Embark (and Josh) that we honestly just felt lucky to have their guidance, expertise, and care. It was the best decision we made. The final product is stunning are we are so happy in our new home. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making it so wonderful for us.
