I've had Raphael Homes work on two large renovation projects at my house: a fix to the foundation and full kitchen remodel before moved in, and a complete replacement of one end of the roof/ porch/ deck after major tree damage following a storm.Both times they were great to work with. Rick and his team brought an enthusiastic, problem solving attitude to both projects and were always willing to listen to us. They came up with good solutions to the unforeseen conditions that always crop up during construction projects, and the final result has been everything we were hoping for. In 2014 we purchased a 1956 rancher that previously had one owner. The house had not been updated since the 80's but the "bones" were good and we saw the potential. Through friends, family and internet searches we identified several potential contractors, Raphael Homes among them.Rick Raphael was a hands-on project manager with experience in home renovation and new construction, and ably participated during the design phase that preceded our six month construction project. The trades people were personally engaged with the project and were down right nice to deal with. To be sure, we had a few tense moments, especially with plumbing related stuff, but Rick and the contractors made things right without our having to arm wrestle anyone. Rick’s timeline and financial terms were clear and we completed the project within both.It’s now five years since we moved in. We absolutely love our house and still use Rick as a resource when any house issues arise. On a personal note, Rick’s calm demeanor and friendliness further supports our claim that he’s a great person to work with.
